Run the BIOS setup
To RUN THE BIOS SETUP:
1) Press a specific key or keystroke combination while the computer is booting up.
NOTE: Look for instructions on the screen while the computer is booting up. Often the key is DELETE or a keystroke combination of CTRL+ALT+ESC, CTRL+ALT+ENTER, or CTRL+ALT+S.
2) Carefully read and follow the instructions on the Setup screen for navigating, setting, and changing various items.
3) The Setup screen usually contains items such as:

This means the computer will not completely boot and programs and files on the hard disk will NOT be available.
4) Use the arrow keys to navigate between items and open valid entries for each item.
5) When done, save the information to the BIOS by following the instructions on the screen (such as, F5 to Save).
6) Upon exiting Setup, the computer will reboot using the new setup information.
7) If the configuration is not right, reboot and press Setup key combination to re-enter the BIOS Setup.
8) Change selected items and repeat steps 5) through 7).
RECOMMENDATION: Use a utility and make a copy of the computer's CMOS setup information and store it on the System Boot diskette in a safe place.
